HACKAERBIL 28-29 August, 2015

The HackaErbil is here, taking place in 28 August at 10:00am and ends at 5:00pm in 29 August, 2015, at the Van Royal Hotel in Erbil, Kurdistan.
A so-called hackathon is a 48-hour event where we gather 50 of the best programmers, graphic designers and business minds from the country (chosen from a pool of hundreds of applicants), and provide them with mentorship and tools for them to create apps and websites that will solve specific problem statements. We have ran more than 50 successful events around the world, all of which have had an incredible business, recruitment, and innovation value for our partners and sponsors – I have attached a case study for one of our past events. Benefits for our previous partners, have included audience exposure through our marketing team, access to premium talent through our proven selection process, and brand association through our successful methodologies.

As a not-for-profit, all our charitable causes, including such ‘hackathon’ events, have a cost associated with it in order to be executed. HackaErbil is a two-days event that participants form teams from the beginning and work on an idea. We will provide them mentors to advise them and answer any question they have. At the second day, they pitch their final presentation to judges and top three winners will be awarded. The good news is that the first winning team will be invited to San Francisco for a 6-week program. Our event is supported by two international organizations from UK and US. And they provide us very talented developers to give a speech online to the participants. It’s also sponsored by three local companies; Zain, Goran Net and Ethraa.
