02 September of 2014 by

Our Kurdish singer and artist Helly Luv AKA “The Lion Girl” attended the Toronto International Film Festival in CANADA, wearing the Kurdish military outfit (Peshmerga) by delivering the Kurdish message to the world, which draw a lot of attention of Canadians, through her participation as the main actress for the Kurdish Art film “Mardan” directed by Batin Ghobadi.

This day was very important to me, but also in the Kurdish Cinema history… as a first Kurdish female actress to attend to the International Toronto Film Festivals. —Helly Luv
