A group of runners from the civil society organization IKNN have been organizing a host of sporting events this week with a view to disseminating a message of non-violence and peace.
Promoting the principles of peaceful coexistence and mutual tolerance, IKNN is organizing a run in the coming days to raise money and awareness for the struggle for children’s rights in the Iraqi-Kurdistan region, under the banner, “War is not a child’s game”.
Stressing upon the importance of promoting a culture of non-violence, IKNN has joined forces with other civil society organizations this week, laying on a range of activities that focus on education and nurturing peace.
What better way to fight away the winter blues, support a worthy cause and get fit in time for the excesses of the holiday season than donning a pair of running shoes and joining in the fun.
