The symposium is opening under the patronage of His Excellency the Culture and Tourism minister Firyad Rwandzi. The fourth Kurdistan Artists Symposium consists of 40 artists from Kurdistan and abroad from different specialties of fine art, photography and writers and it continues for one week.
The activities start with an exhibition of 15 Kurdish artists at the old Mahata prison located on 30 meter street behind Kurdistan University Hewler in Erbil on Thursday, July 20 at 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
The second day on Friday, 21 July the symposium will take place at Rwanduz town and the third day on Saturday, 22 July it will be at the Shanidar Park in Erbil, on fourth and fifth day, Sunday the Monday, July 23-24 the exhibition will be moved to Media Hall in Erbil for two days.
At the end July 25-26 all artists who participated will receive appreciation certificates.
This year’s group symposium was a collaborated by Shanidar Art Expo with the support from the Culture and Tourism Ministry as well as Hawkar Group. Hawkar Rskin is the founder of Kurdistan Artists Symposium.
